That would be pretty neat for us coastal types. On second thought it's a bad idea.

with a Verizon MiFi (or other means of distributing cellular broadband) you could use it to get near-real-time Doppler radar and other weather updates, assuming it has a fairly capable browser. If it goes beyond that and has a "real OS" such as Linux or Windows it could run Google Earth and other apps like that too (including viruses). Hmmm - Considering where this leads, maybe it's not such a good idea. KISS.

Hell NO! I just want it to be a good navigation instrument. Low power high reliability. Would rather keep Internet and entertainment separate.
