If it's a WiFi to update the firmware or chart kits -- well I guess. However, if you were "hiho" (half-way-in-halfway-out) and something got messed-up, you might have your charts corrupted. Personally, I'd prefer to download the charts and then update them.
If you want weather radio near the North American continent, then Sirius or XM Weather on a chart plotter is really a better feature. (I think you'd need a VERY ROBUST CPU and connection to be reliably running a web-based WiFi connection.
Is the screen a daylight, weatherproof marine screen? Or is this just a marinized PC that you use below. If that's the case, there are a lot of options.
If you're interested in running a second cockpit repeater, you could do it -- but it costs a lot and it's tricky to use a smaller touch screen at that helm of boat.
