I too have seen this... and no doubt it makes the boat more socialable...

But I too tend to agree with securing the things that might cause problems if a sudden storm came up... So I too secure RF lines and sheets onto cleats before I leave the boat.
But for entertaining, securing the sheets on the pulpit might be nice... especially in the event that folks are coming aboard that are less than wise about stepping on "ropes" on the "floor."
