Some NMEA AIS message types do have information on the slot that was used;
However, I see no mention of a Unique ID for the transponder, I think the Unique ID for the transponder is the MMSI that you must program into it.

After looking into it, I still think two AIS transponders with identical information and similar position would just double the number of messages transmitted.
