they work, but I'd rather have a dedicated sea berth. Using the setees as sea berths makes the saloon seem crowded, cluttered, and unkept and is too closing to camping, imo. In smaller boats, it's often unavoidable but this design sacrificed a quarterberth for a cockpit locker. I'd rather not have that trade-off. Interestingly, some other Brewer designS that are the same length have a quarterberth so I guess it must have been the owner's preference.
