The drain in the galley sink has a standard home style tailpipe attached to the strainer under the sink. The rubber drain hose attaches to the tailpipe, then goes down to a 90* elbow and over to another 90* elbow at the seacock. Why couldn't I replace the sink drain tailpipe with one designed to go on a sink drain for a dishwasher? I could plumb in a small electric pump between the icebox discharge hose and the new tailpipe and add a momentary switch to activate the pump?
