Come on Max!!.....you know if you attach the word "marine" it will triple the price?
I have a couple different varieties of solar lights around the house and have to ditto what SG says. They look kind of cool but really don't put out a whole lot of light. I also don't have the most expensive. I can share a bit of knowledge with you though. The typical garden lights come in different configurations so you need to consider all. Some are single battery, some multiple battery, some have a single warm white LED some multiple warm, some single Bright white and some multiple bright whites. Some are metal housings, some plastic. Naturally, it seems that the more you pay the more you get.
The best light output I have comes from a solar spotlight. You can mount it on the ground, I have mine mounted on posts to light up my deck and pool. I bought them from K-mart, about $20 each. They are aluminum housings, the solar panels are adjustbale to get the optimum angle. They also have 2 brightness settings. Lower setting gives you longer battery. I keep mine on the high setting and most days they are still lit at dawn. Around here you would be hard pressed to find any outdoor lighting this time of year though unless it was a Christmas decoration.
