Ok, ooookaaay. I don't get out much with GPS and have a question.

Mind you, I'm not out now. But my daughter is in Guatemala rescuing sea turtles on the Pacific Coast. They use a GPS to keep track of where the nests are on the beaches. She lives in a village called El Rosario on the Pacific Coast. Asked for GPS "numbers" by my wife as to where she is living...El Rosario...she sends these numbers.

One is labeled 15P, the other is labeled UPM (huh?)

one number, 15P, is 0783018

the other number, UPM, is 1532757

My GPS at home gives lat/lon. What the heck are those numbers she has sent? Anyone know?

Thanks. I'm gonna be in Guatemala in less than ten days for a month..should I survive the plane ride down..and don't want to be lost and have to follow the coastline all the way back to Oregon.
