To leave or not to leave charts on board

What's the general consensus?

Our boat's headed to Florida to sell. We have charts and guides from everywhere we've been. For the most part we will never use them again except to pull them out at home reminiscing or explaining something that we know first hand to a friend. It's a lot of stuff.

The flags, we take with us. The charts? Take them off before putting the boat up for sale. Include them in the inventory? We could use some of that stuff on our next boat. On the other hand, whoever purchases her doesn't need anything to follow a dream.

We're leaning toward taking everything off the boat except for the spare engine parts but I just don't know. There's so much extra stuff like a MOM-8, a Fortress FX85 with 400' of 1" line and all those charts and guides.

Perhaps I should talk to the broker (when we get one)

Thoughts?
