I've had friends with cats onboard. They had a few problems with seasickness.

They had a few cats. No problems generally but just like any animal not used to the car, sailing can be a problem until, or if, they get used to it Jerry.
I would get Sue Gurl onboard as soon as possible and slowly get her acclimated to the boat. She will make a nice companion once you get her used to the boat.
