We're not sailing on the last day of the year, although you could. It's a quite balmy 40something on the harbor with light winds and sunny skies. I saw a lobsterman headed out to pull some traps. The season is still on for a few fisherman.
I'll be thinking about sailing while snowboarding today at our ski area in town. It's the only one on the east coast that looks out over the ocean. I'm always taken by how big our Penobscot Bay is from up here. More or less an equal triangle of 3, 30 miles legs. It's no wonder after more than 10 sailing seasons, I don't feel I've seen that much of it.
This is my wife a few years ago on top of the Camden Snowbowl before she too went to the dark side of shredding the gnar.
What are sailors doing on the last day of year?
