That is one of Todd Bibler's originals before he was bought by Black Diamond. It's a bomb shelter, very expensive but it really works. Since BD bought out Todd's company they have come down about $200.00 in price and I think a base Fitzroy is now only $699.00. I have the vestibule but we don't always bring it if traveling light. We get zero condensation and it breathes just as advertised.
We have had that tent completely buried by snow on Mount Rainier and still woken up completely dry. With two adults in a double wall tent it is nearly impossible to keep it dry inside for any length of time. The way we travel she weighs just 6 lb 4 oz.. Ridden out 85+ MPH winds and some very nasty weather and the tent is totally unfazed. Like the Bibler bivy, which actually may have saved my life on one trip, this is one of the best winter mountaineering purchases I've made. My brother in-law has the Bibler I-Tent and we often use that too but generally not above tree line where there will be a lot of wind. That tent weighs just 4 Lb 5 oz but is really tight inside. The floor space of the I-Tent is exactly that of two Ridge Rest pads..
