Thanks Rod Stewart.
I do much of my sailing from right here. This pic tells me we're on the Gulf of Maine, 80 NM from home, (we overnighted in Tennents Harbor), we're on our second tack of 3 we'll take across the Gulf to Cape Cod, 1 South, 2 West, 3 South, more or less.
I can also see waves are growing and we're knocked off about 10 degrees so our speed is slowed a bit as our sails are stalled, momentarily, as witness the flag. AP will soon be back on course.
I've probably started cooking by this time. There are 4 eyes on deck keeping watch. I've thrown blankets through the companionway so it's cooling off as the sun dips dead ahead over New Hampshire. My daughter is enjoying talking to her brother, no Facebook on the gulf, so they'll read books the whole way.
12 hours or so from now, the sun will rise off our port as we're sailing into Cape Cod Bay.
