The most amazing thing was on Serenity. Serenity is a Gulfstar 41 center cockpit and is sailed by a single handed guy that doesn't take care of the boat. They said that 'bad fuel' caused the problem but at the same time,, they said that the engine quitting was a problem that was known about. (something sounds wrong with that).
The dingy thing I don't understand.. We have davits and I don't care how bad the seas are,,, If we're at anchor we can raise it. Maybe not underway in 8' seas but then we never trail the dingy under way,, it's too easy to raise it. They said it was too rough to raise,, don't understand.
Jim and Kitty are pretty knowledgeable and have been on their boat for more than 10 years. It's a Harden 45,, not your best boat but they've made some changes that have brought it up to some specks. They don't even have those windows anymore, they're all bronze opening ports instead. I'm not a fan of Hardin 45s but there's is a good one.
The entire story is funny in a sadly strange way.
they're heading straight East past the Cayman Islands and then up to Florida.
Hey Jon,,, we decided to bring TD to Ft. lauderdale to sell instead of St. Pete. I'm leaving for Guatemala City and on to the Rio Dulce tonight.
