Plastic grocery bags
They've charged for grocery bags here for a number of years now. (Quebec)

That's the good part of .25c a piece
It's 5 cents here and NOBODY buys them. Everyone brings re-usable cloth bags for groceries. The nickle is a charge.

I actually question the "real" value of reusable, but tossing the bag in with the wash is not as bad as disposables IMHO
What's this bullsh*t about washing the damn bags?
I use cloth bags and launder them from time to time if there is leakage of say, meat juices. That's all.
