It's two pieces. The one on the right contains a new trash bin. It's a fixed section now well fastened. The middle piece with the large door is removable. The head is cut with a rabbet and fits into a rabbetted cleat fastened to the bottom of the counter. Fit, swing the bottom into place against a stop, secure with two barrel bolts hidden under the bump out. The bump out is less than the old angled panel came out, allows the oven door to open. There's now a toe space under so it feels better in use. I copied the same door details the boat was built with 50 years ago.
