this is taken from the beach peninsula side looking toward town. The town has a small commercial fishing fleet, harbormaster office and a fish monger's shed (we bought the freshest harpooned swordfish we ever tasted there) and a small hotel/inn that that's at least 100 years old, and a cluster of houses such as those shown above in my "if not for the telephone poles" post. You can tie a dinghy at the harbormaster's dock and buy your fish, walk around a bit and that's about all there is to do there.
Be sure to take your dinghy under the main highway bridge and explore the wetlands of the river. It is pristine and beautiful.
