The kind of paint on our deck is unknown, and varied. At least some is single component, and is not as tough as a good single component polyurethane

We want to brush on Awlgrip. Finish is not important, because we will be sprinkling sand as non-skid

We tried a sample area yesterday, and the Awlgrip has dried OK.

Given that, it there a danger that the whole mess will deteriorate in a few weks or months?
