Yes I did. The steps I used were;
1. locate the spot I needed to drill holes.
2. Drill holes
3. treat bare aluminum with Alodine 1201
4. Install Hi-Lock with a sealant to seperate the dissimilar metals. I think I used a LocTite product?
5. I then used thick White lithium grease on ALL threaded parts.
Just what I did back in 2003 and all seems to be just great so far.
