Mine is a lovely green color and appearing more and more green as time goes on. No doubt I need a new one (I am afraid to actually touch it for fear that it is only corrosion that is holding it together).
How do I protect the future new strainer from the same slow death? (Defender Marine has a nice selection of these BTW... but I can just envision that metal becoming the same ghastly green)
And as long as we are discussing the ravages of the sea, how might I keep my log (speedometer) wheel from intrusion by little beasties? I cannot pull the device as you can on some boat installations (the boat I race on simply removes the sensor from the water and we replace it with a plug) so I am dependent on either diver or myself to keep the wheel unencumbered by crusty stuff. Any other ideas?
