Sucia is a wonderland but most spots are open to weather. Many folks do get lazy and don't use the scope or tackle when it does blow. Fossil is great holding even if it can get windy not fun when you are set and some "all chain 2 to 1 scope" boat drags down on you. The shallow spot between South Finger Island and Sucia is the most protected anchorage I have found at Sucia.
