Reports from two other sources- minimal to no problems

One friend who uses the Blue Sky 2000E controller reports no problems with HF that he has noticed.

The other friend (now in New Zealand) reports:

"r.e. solar controller: I didn't see anything about shielding in the manuals for my controller and hadn't noticed any issues with RF noise until recently. There appears to be quite a bit of noise in the 5-6 MHz band, but only under some conditions. Fortunately, I can reach under the chart table and flip the breaker off from the solar panels and that makes the noise go away. Now, I just need to remember to turn it back on! It is noteworthy that we have noise issues with a lot of stuff, including the refrigerator, the instruments, chart plotters when dimmed, inverter, computer power supplies, turning prop shaft, etc."

The first boat had its controller installed some distance from the nav station, the second (Blue Sky 3024?) had it installed close to the nav station. The latter had been cruising full time for 18 months before he noticed the problem, so it wasn't too bad a problem

I'll probably be fine with my controller on the other side of the boat from the nav station. I'll add ferrites as needed.

Thanks for the other comments here!
