I use the GPS position info from the WM AIS 1000 NMEA stream

() It feeds the data through a serial-USB interface gives netbook (running Coastal Explorer) both AIS and GPS info. The separate GPS that was installed before the AIS B is now used only to feed the Raymarine stuff and give position info to the DSC VHF.
