If you are paying 49 cents for and outlet then the spring metal inside will not grab your plug with a tight hold resulting in a poor conection and possible arcing. Yes there is a standard for the force that a receptacle grabs the prongs of a male plug and a tester to check it. Make sure to test your GFCI's with the test button they do go bad. I no longer use the option of protecting downstream outlets with 1 GFCI, I have a GFCI at every outlet they are not to much $$$.
