On the one hand they're both 30'ers not really designed for conventional cruising. Both can be trailered(the M29 can go into a container). Plus performance won out over wide slower hulls for below deck amenities. Both are good performers for their size.
Each was designed with different ideas in mind though. One is the "daysailer" idea. A use of a few hours of "sailing pleasure", then retire to your second home on the water,... the other more of an expedition vehicle to take you off the beaten path.
The owners will wear different hats so to speak. A Morris ball cap vs the trucker cap?
The M29 sells for about twice that of the Presto 30 base. And in the middle we have the production 30'ers with big below deck design, that do something all together different.
