In some ways, I think the goals are similar

but the Morris appeals to a very different aesthetic, both in terms of the boat's looks and how you sail/live aboard it.
And trailering must be a rather different proposition. The Morris has standing rigging and a deep (4' 6") keel. The Presto has freestanding carbon-fiber spars and a centerboard. Barely need to get the trailer wheels wet and you don't need a crane for the masts.
Below, the Presto has that big centerboard trunk so doesn't have the open saloon we're all used to seeing. I haven't seen Presto since Rodger & Co. tricked out the interior with a hiding galley etc., but they managed to live quite well aboard for at least a month . . . maybe longer (I have their reports somewhere in this machine).
Both boats are fine daysailers, but for gunkholing around here (Chesapeake) or SW Florida, I think the Presto has the edge.
If push came to shove . . I'd take either one. Or maybe one of each!
