Agree!
Once had a house boat move in next to us with a home style washer and drier. Made OUR zinc go away in about a month! Moved down a few slips and the new zinc lasted more than 6 months with NO OTHER change.
Later, when we were in a new slip before we headed out I went to a home store and bought about 36 foot of ΒΌ inch copper tubing, cut it into 6 pieces. Then mounted the pieces on the finger on each side of our boat with about 3 feet underwater. Then bought cheep electrical wire and connected all 6 pieces of tubing together. I think it helped a lot. Provided stray electrical current an easier path than through my boat.
By the way, used a meter to measure voltage between the forward port rod and the aft stb rod and got a reading. So figured the idea was a good one.
