Back in the mid 80s, I was cruising the Bahamas solo. The engine had been developing a compression problem and I finally could not get it started. Having holed up in an abandoned marina during a storm, I got a friendly tow out to open water after it calmed down and set sail for civilization.
It was a rare calm day with a steady 3 knot zephyr and mirror surface. Since there were no noticeable waves, I could keep the genny and main filled and managed an indicated 1 knot. I decided to get out in the dinghy and take some pictures. It was easy - and eery - to row around Rosebud as she sailed along by herself.
