I thought the newer Yamaha sixes four strokes were single cylinder.

I know the very newest is but thought that change was several years ago in an attempt to make them more lightweight.

- I bumped up the horse power of my 8 Hp Nissan outboard
- I have heard of changing a 9.9 to 15.....but not sure it works the same for an 8hp

- I have a twenty-five year old Mercury 2 cycle, 4 HP -- would it work for that to boost it?
