are all 2 strokes. The new 4 strokes are just to heavy and complicated to be any good to cruisers. IMHO. You can still get new 2 stroke engines outside of the US. The rest of the world hasn't seen the necessity to burden their citizens with only 4 stroke engines.

I bumped up the horse power of my 8 Hp Nissan outboard
- I have heard of changing a 9.9 to 15.....but not sure it works the same for an 8hp

- I have a twenty-five year old Mercury 2 cycle, 4 HP -- would it work for that to boost it?
