Get a very hard neopreme roller (I think Nitrile is a tradename) -- if you get a soft one, it will wear from use and degrade from UV exposure prematurely.

It might be too small a radius, but regardless, I think a grooved one is better for you.

Do you have a rope to chain rode?

What sort of shackle do you have at the chain to anchor connection?
