we had 20s gusting to 30s here on the Chesapeake; lots of rain

Downrigging Weekend in Chestertown today was pretty much washed out. They have a group of regionally based tall ships that gather at the end of the season and usually do public sails but they were all cancelled today. Cold driving rain for much of the day - probably a couple of inches. Some wet snow in the air at times but fortunately none on the ground. Just about stopped now. Reports from elsewhere: LOTS of tree damage and power outages from the Philadelphia area north. Reported 51mph gust at Ocean City, NJ 40 mph gust inland at Dover DE.
