Our boat came with one of those upright full sized Norcold's. When it went out we switched to a 'VitroFrigo'. A beautiful 12/110 unit in stainless steel for $1,200.00. One of the nice things about it is the fact that unlike the Norcold's, if a part goes out you can replace the part instead of the entire refrigerator. We like it a lot. Made in Italy, sold and serviced throughout the U.S. Uses a little more than 5 amps and keeps Hagen Daz rock hard. It's not frost free but uses a hell of a lot less amps then a household one, and it's made for a boat like ours.
