I thought it was Bass Harbor, in any event that's where the grounding took place.
In 1966 my dad had 'Majek' built at Graves in Marblehead. She was a Bill Tripp design, 38 ft. There had been 19 built in Holland. Seafarer/Graves made this one in the US hoping to start a class, but Majek ended up being the only one built due to business disagreements. It's too bad, she was/is a beautiful sailing boat. She had a very successful racing career, including 1st overall in the 97 Marion Bermuda Race when the design was 40 years old. She was way overbuilt, the transom was about 1.5" solid glass as I recall.
I sold her in 2001 to a very nice couple and they are giving her lots of TLC on the St John River. I don't have a digital pic handy but will try to get one scanned at some point. Peter M sometimes posts pics of her, he knows the folks who bought her.
