Here's a few points about the points. The flint they are knapped from is not found along the Maine Coast. Todd D can tell you reams about that. So, they had to carry their raw materials down from way up North in order to keep their point supply fresh. When I find these things, I think about why they were made... Hunting, defense, and unfortunately, predatory behavior against other humans. God only knows whose flesh they last penetrated. That makes them kind of sacred in the human experience, in a profane sort of way. This one is made from Missouri chert, much better for knapping than the stuff found along the Northeast area..You can see the difference in color from the previous photos...mnh
