It's a shame they aren't watched and or recorded. Heck, highschool kids do that with model boats floating around the oceans. Someone could then track it, decide it's a doable recovery(or not), and pay some sort of salvage fees to insurance, CG, boys scouts, whatever.

Problem is, you could probably get the same boat, better equipped and cheaper on Craiglist down the street!
