Politicians just don't seem to get it. Taxes like that hurt the middle class, and the businesses that support them. Property taxes are the absolute WORST way of raising revenue, closely followed by sales tax.

The only tax that works is income taxes, which should be fair and objective, and everyone should pay their fair share. What people decide to do with their money after income tax is their business and not the government's.
