I discovered today that the unused diesel tank port I'm planning to use to draw fuel for my polisher system does not have a dip tube to the bottom of the tank. I have limited headroom (8") over the tank so it will not be feasible to install a rigid dip tube. I might be able to use flexible copper tube and fish it down. The simplest would be to use rubber fuel hose. Is there anything on the outside skin of these hoses that makes them unsuitable to be permanently immersed in diesel? I assume not but I seem to recall a discussion here discouraging the use of fuel hose in this situation.
Thanks,
Max
