We'll deeply miss Don's reports. We had hoped to have Don's excellent weather analysis every morning for our trip back up the outside of Baja starting later this month. He was a teacher at heart who could use words to paint a vivid picture of the weather, emerging weather systems, and what one might expect to get for conditions. There are many computer model based weather prediction sites on the internet today, but Don understood local weather perturbations better than any other source I've found.
The Lectronic Latitudes article quotes Chuck Houlihan of s/v Jacaranda. Chuck is active on the HAM and marine nets down here in Mexico. By coincidence Susie and I met him in person at Caleta Partida a couple days ago.
