reg numbers for PVC, (Zodiac)

Can I get away with a Magic Marker for the state reg numbers on a PVC boat? Will the solvents harm it?

- Yes.
  - I used to use magic marker, now I use vinyl letters
- Auto parts store vinyl top paint
  - I use it with stencils. Same stuff as in "marine grade" cans.
  - second use of Magic Marker
    - In the Carib sun Magic Marker fades within a week
    - fades, yes, but still works well..
