I have been using Life caulk for all thru hulls for more years than I care to remember. My opinion is that there is always the possibility of wanting to change out a thru-hull, for example to another size, and 5200 makes that next to impossible. I prefer Life Caulk, but I know 4200 would work as well. Those would be my to preferences.
