() The issue is how well balanced the sail plan is and how effecient the steering system and rudder is.
It makes less sense than the weight of the boat and anchor size -- the wind "profile" is much more an issue than the weight, per se. A light catamarin or a powerboat with a flybridge needs more capacity than a low freeboard hull of the same weight.
