Any suggestions for a temporary fuel tank?

I discovered a leak in my main fuel tank last night. To remove it I will have to remove the engine. I was planning to launch next week; if I try to do this job now I may not see the water until late July. Plus, if I'm going to pull the engine I should take the time to give it a good looking over.

I emptied the tank today and have decided to try to rig up a small, temporary tank to get me thru the summer. 10-15 gallons should be adequate, and I can top it off with Jerry jugs. I looked at a red 12 gallon outboard gas tank. I could run the diesel return to a separate Jerry jug. One problem with the outboard tank is they are somewhat low and flat, and might be more prone to leaking from the fittings when the boat is heeled.

Anyone have any other ideas for a simple, temporary tank?

Thanks,
Max
