We took the skiff out yesterday afternoon from the Royal River to Freeport. On the way up the Harraseeket River to check on our sailboat we saw Charles, Laurel and their boys out for a harbor sail in their Doughdish. Laurel's grandfather bought the boat years ago, perhaps new. When first married they outfitted the boat with a boom tent and oars and set off cruising the Maine coast. Now they're looking forward to a 4th generation learning to sail on the same great little boat.
