The last few stragglers are getting launched in my harbor.

Some are bound for summer homes scattered along Maines 3,000 plus miles of coastline. ESPRESSO, in non yachty vibrant colors, is always a delight to see. BELISSIMO, "Excellent", a great name for well found day sailer like this one.

Like the boats above(one is glass, one is wood), I think wood and fiberglass boats are finally finding a comfortable distance, without the nonesense that was applied from each camp(for decades), in the boating world.

Woods was always here to stay(not so according to first glass pundits), and fiberglass long ago proved it was more than up the high standards a quality boat must meet to last(the first hulls are now well over 50 years old and untouched). The Hinckley picnic boat alongside the 60's wooden yawl in the background no longer look like two left feet.

Here's a carbon fiber boom that will be installed on a Concordia yawls carbon fiber spar. It's laying alongside the old yawls original spruce mizzen that I think is still used.

Spruce and carbon fiber(?).... I dunno,...
