..the early '70's from Sears. I've replaced some aspect of the switch in it two or three times and just came across one switch still held in reserve from who knows how long ago. I use it under the lightweight resin router table. It's easy to lift, easy to use as I like take that work outside to uh, distribute the chips over the lawn....
I have a heavier table that I only get out when I need the 1/2" drive. Got a trim router that I swear gets more use now than most anything routerish. Big 3.5 h.p. Makita plunge router for when you just gotta have it.
Routers used to be around 3/4 to 1 horsepower like my old Black and Decker, light to handle, easy to use..of course we all were like that, lighter to handle, easier to use.... Now unless you get a trim router a smaller unit is hard to find. I'm not sure the average guy, of which I consider myself one, really needs so much horsepower and weight.
Bullnose bits from 1/16 to 3/4"; my faveS, the flush cutting bits; the odd ogee, a few purpose shaped bits for panels. The flush bits are soooooo useful when making stuff. Oh my. Saves a lot work in the original cutting.
But I digress...
