The US has increasingly become a 'rotten' place for most business activity - heavily taxed, increasingly with more costly regulation, apparent increasing government policies of 'de-industrialization', etc., etc.
Hell, if you had a business, you'd be looking to moving it out of the US to a more 'business friendly' venue/opportunity.
When was the last time you bought rigging supplies from an 'american' supplier? .... an auto from a US carmaker? ... products from a US appliance maker or US electronic manufacturer? Almost 30% of our foodstuffs are imported. This will continue to get worse and worse until we also 'outsource' congress, .... and start over again.
