That we didn't get the waterspout on video or camera is my biggest disappointment of the whole voyage. As you can imagine when it is blowing 30-35, it is very early morning, the waves are big, and you are surfing at 10 knots while trying to avoid running directly into the path of the waterspout, documenting it took second fiddle. I did actually ask Chris to go get the camera, but she said no. She did want to die while searching down below. I guess she wanted to face it eyes wide open.

Still, it would have been a National Geographic moment had we captured it. A once is a lifetime (hopefully) moment that got away. I try to describe it, and generally get nods of acknowledgement, but if I could show you the picture or video you would be saying "Holy F...!" It was RIGHT THERE.
