I want to create a hinged opening in the back rail... the pushpit if you will. I have a swim ladder that folds down at the stern but access back into the cockpit is less than ideal when you have to climb over that top rail due to the way the back of the boat slopes out at the top of the stern. So I am looking for a ss rail hinge and some sort of threaded lock piece (coupler), so I can fold open that top rail when I want access, or lock it back down to make it whole again.

I didn't see such hardware at either WM or Defender... but it has to be out there somewhere... anybody have a source?

Seems to me this should be a fairly simple DIY project; just cut the existing rail and slip on these pieces and lock them into place with set screws.
