As Jon said, 5 weeks is a good bit of time. Sounds like you'll be smelling a lot of roses along the way.
We like the area around Oriental NC quite a bit and there's a nice marina there. What makes Brunswick Landing nice is that it's a hurricane hole, beautiful scenery in the area and has a reputation of being the marina of choice for leaving your boat and having it taken care of. We left ours there for 5 months and had a local guy check and maintain it. We returned after those 5 months and the boat was better than we left it. They even gave us a double wide slip with no additional cost. We were able to center the boat with double lines. It gave us good piece of mind with no concerns of it's safety. We're commute cruisers and have left the boat other places usually being dissatisfied with her condition when we returned. Not in Brunswick.
Good cruising.
